The book that prevents child abuse

How does it do this? This article will tell you how, but you really should read the book to find out the details. It all boils down to bonding
“Maxson and Maisie” is an amazing book that you should definitely consider for your children. Parenting is changing. We are transitioning from the old school--inspired, in my opinion, largely by puritan and strict religious-like approaches that historically developed in our country—where being a parent meant being in control and the ability to ensure compliance, to totally new approaches.

Why so? Because our parental efforts of “being in control” (i.e. a control freak) and focusing on ensuring discipline are failing. Our children grow up and turn to drugs, and there is nothing we can do no matter how hard we try. Or, they just go their own way and have nothing to do with us (Not sure which route hurts you a s a parent more).
So, rather than continuing to do the same thing while expecting a different result, shouldn’t we realize that a different approach may be in order? The new approach to parenting encourages bonding and togetherness, and uses the same “techniques” by which peer pressure operates: feeding the need for acceptance, praise and validation—but by “us”, rather than “them”.
Maxson’s and Maisies is the first book in the series of materials designed to be tools in the natural parenting approach. This is where you start while your kids are still little.

This interactive read opens the dialogue between the child and caregiver by asking questions to find out more about what your child is thinking.  This creative book reminds the parent that our children are full of imagination and encourages us to look for what they are thinking and what makes them excited.
When we learn more about our children, we tend to look at them as the little people that they are.  In the hustle and bustle of life it is easy to forget our children have emotions, thoughts, and ideas just as we do.   As adults we can get frustrated and push our children along, and they can get lost in life or at least feel forgotten.  This book encourages us to engage with our children.  It gives us an opportunity to take a few minutes of our day to honor and talk to them as the little people that they are which in turn builds a relationship with them.
Although this is a children’s book, it gives caregivers an insight on the way our children think.  This is a great read, and a great way to spend some time with your child.  The best part about this book is getting to hear your child answer the questions.  You never know what you are going to hear out of a child’s mouth.  Most of the time it will bring a smile to even pure laughter.
